Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Statement

Parents for Community Living (PCL) stands together with our community in the fight against hatred and anti-black racism. The recent deaths of Ahmaud Arbery, George Floyd and other members of the black community in the United States has prompted an opportunity for change around the world. PCL acknowledges the devastating impact racism has on individuals, families and communities as a whole and the need to bring awareness and change to this critical issue in today’s society.

As an organization founded on the principals of diversity and inclusion, Parents for Community Living is proud of the cultural diversity of it’s staff teams and the individuals we support. It is our differences, life experiences and varying perspectives that brings a richness, purpose and meaning to all of our lives. Parents for Community Living will not tolerate nor turn a blind eye to anti-black racism and exclusion. We encourage everyone who sees an injustice to stand up and say something, to let their voice be heard and to be part of this much needed change.

Parents for Community Living as an organization will continue to embrace the diversity of it’s members as we work together to fulfil our vision that every person lives with dignity as a valued member of the community.
